We’re coming to the Big Apple with 3 amazing dates!
Midnight this Friday at the UCB Theatre, Free Love Forum joins fellow sketch groups Rue Brutalia and Patrick & Adam for our third appearance in “A-Side/B-Side,” the premier sketch event hosted by the esteemed Aaron Kheifets and Johnny McNulty.
This Thursday, the very smart and very funny Lee Camp will be taping a DVD special of his stand-up show ‘Chaos for the Weary.’ We’ll be kicking off the show with some sketches, as will the acclaimed God’s Pottery.
It’s only $5 and it’s happening this Thursday, April 29th at 7:30pm at The Tank Theater in midtown. Get your tickets here
Just a note to let you know that we will be hosting a great show this weekend in Brooklyn. Five great comedians will be joining us for an evening of fun…
Date: Saturday, March 27
FREE LOVE FORUM
This Friday, comic visionaries, Aaron Kheifets and James Eason, have once more wrangled three sketch troupes to perform for your pleasure in their comedy masterclass, A-Side/B-Side. The show sees each group perform one sketch that’s a proven audience fav (an A-Side), followed by one sketch that’s strange, new, or unproven (the B-Side). If that hasn’t got you setting your gCal to remind to your iBerry, I should note that the bunch of us, Free Love Forum, have been asked back to join Adam and Trevor and Party Central USA! The details:
Exactly once a year we have the all too brief pleasure of meeting our regional and national sketch comedy brethren at a three day event they call “Sketch Fest NYC.” In the evenings – after extensive seminars where we sketch troupes talk shop, share tips, and watch demos featuring the latest in sketch comedy technology – we perform incredible shows for insanely reasonable prices (consider the quality, folks).
TICKETS: $10 [buy]
DATE: Saturday, June 13th @ 6pm
Our NYU intern, Ben, is apparently slacking off on something called “summer break”, leaving us to do all the posting ourselves. I had to log into my own profile just to write this update, unbelievable. Anyway Ben, wherever you are, don’t be long.
Right, so we’ve got a gig this Saturday. We’re part of a show called “A-Side/B-Side” at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater here in New York City. We’re joining renowned NYC sketch groups, New Exc!tement and Murderfist. The evening will find each group performing a popular sketch, followed by a newer and/or more unusual sketch.
Hey everybody. Sorry it’s been a bit since I last updated. I’ve been so busy with all the errands I’m running and trying to keep up with my studies, I haven’t slept in days. It’s all good though because the guys are working on some awesome stuff and I’ve got front row seats to all the developments. Actually, that’s why I’m posting. Jared’s asked me to update you all on some upcoming Free Love Forum gigs. They’re premiering new sketches and video at a handful of variety shows hosted by, and featuring, the finest minds in the underground comedy scene.
Thursday, April 30th, 8pm @ The PIT
Friday, May 1st, 8pm @ The PIT
Hope to see you guys there! Keep an eye out for me, I’ll be taking tickets and selling limited edition FLF coasters that I made myself!
Stay tuned, more dates are being discussed.
-Ben (the intern)
On behalf of Mr. Beiler, Mr. Dorfman, Mr. Gronli, Ms. Johnson, Mr. Klipstein, and Jared, I welcome you to Free Love Forum’s relaunched comedy site. Until the end of the semester I’ll be freeloveforum.com’s part-time administrator, which means you’ll occasionally see updates from me about what the guys are doing.
I couldn’t be more psyched. When I was a high school senior, Free Love Forum was a huge hit on YouTube for one week. I’ve been keeping tabs on them ever since, and two years later here I am! Turns out the reason they haven’t posted many new videos since then is because they’re always talking to TV execs. No surprise, those dudes were way funny! Did you see that MS Paint video? It was mad sick.
So about me: I’m sophomore at the Tisch School of Film & Television, I love sketch comedy (classics like Keenen and Kel, The Amanda Show, and of course, Free Love Forum), I love hockey (go Rangers!), music (go Kanye!), and partying (obviously).
Man, I’m still tweaking. When my media production T.A. handed out a list of accredited internships and I saw Free Love Forum listed, I didn’t think I had a chance, but no sooner did my interview start than they began assigning work! I guess I had them at hello . Anyways, I’m really thankful to the guys for giving me this opportunity.
Spoiler alert: I’ll also be assisting Free Love Forum’s crew on some upcoming videos and gigs… that’s right, they’ve got new stuff in the pipeline!
