– It’s happening, it’s really happening! We’ll be back in Toronto this weekend for the fifth annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. Each year, our neighbors to the north (or rather, “neighbours”) dish out their finest comedy delights and privilege a few groups from the USA to join their North American comic affair. We’re incredibly honored to have been accepted for a third year in a row (or rather, “honoured”). If you’re in Toronto, don’t pass it up – something killer is happening every night from the 10th to the 15th! For a full festival schedule and ticketing, go here (or rather, “hereur“).

We’ll be performing full sets at the Comedy Bar on both Friday and Saturday:
Just two weeks ago we joined Funny or Die, and today, much to our surprise, we were featured on their front page! Coal, our coal industry parody, received a big push thanks to it’s placement among the top five featured videos. So this is our note of appreciation to you folks at Funny or Die, it was an awesome welcome from an awesome video community! –
Thanks!
This Friday, comic visionaries, Aaron Kheifets and James Eason, have once more wrangled three sketch troupes to perform for your pleasure in their comedy masterclass, A-Side/B-Side. The show sees each group perform one sketch that’s a proven audience fav (an A-Side), followed by one sketch that’s strange, new, or unproven (the B-Side). If that hasn’t got you setting your gCal to remind to your iBerry, I should note that the bunch of us, Free Love Forum, have been asked back to join Adam and Trevor and Party Central USA! Hey everybody, got six minutes? Our video, Serve & Protect, made it into the top 20 of the OFA’s Health Reform Video Challenge! If the video wins, it’ll air on national TV. The polls have opened, and now you could give us a real boost. Click here, then hit the “start voting” button. You have to rank all 20 videos for your vote to count. Don’t worry, they’re only 30 seconds each. Together we can bring comprehensive healthcare reform, and get us on TV!
We want some healthcare reform up in this nation! We also want to win the “Health Reform Video Challenge” run by President Obama’s website. Keep checking barackobama.com, as you’ll soon have the option to vote for your favorite entries, namely this one:
A little while ago, Adobe – the maker of Photoshop and the Creative Suite of any serious creative professional – invited us to make a web series for their site, AdobeTV. Thus we made “Creative Pros,” our glance at the individuals who make up the advertising, publishing, and entertainment industries. Here’s the whole series:
Exactly once a year we have the all too brief pleasure of meeting our regional and national sketch comedy brethren at a three day event they call “Sketch Fest NYC.” In the evenings – after extensive seminars where we sketch troupes talk shop, share tips, and watch demos featuring the latest in sketch comedy technology – we perform incredible shows for insanely reasonable prices (consider the quality, folks).
Above all, check out the fest. While you’re there, join us as we perform with comedy duo, B.O.F (Best of Friends). They’re a lady and a gent with a great webseries.
Our NYU intern, Ben, is apparently slacking off on something called “summer break”, leaving us to do all the posting ourselves. I had to log into my own profile just to write this update, unbelievable. Anyway Ben, wherever you are, don’t be long.
Right, so we’ve got a gig this Saturday. We’re part of a show called “A-Side/B-Side” at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater here in New York City. We’re joining renowned NYC sketch groups, New Exc!tement and Murderfist. The evening will find each group performing a popular sketch, followed by a newer and/or more unusual sketch.
In case you were concerned, our B-Side will not be the infamous Equus sketch that had us banned from Harvey’s Laff Lounge in Sheboygan back in ‘03.
